About the team
Founded in April 2025, Setsumai performed as the host team at the 1st North American International Yosakoi Festival held at the Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden in Lethbridge, and has been active locally ever since. Powerful like a winter blizzard yet eye-catching like fresh snow falling in the dead of night, their performance melts the hearts of all who watch (as long as they don’t freeze up on stage!).

Without KOKUYOSA, Setsumai Yosakoi wouldn’t exist. We’re deeply grateful to the KOKUYOSA team for giving us the chance to dance and a stage to perform on. Dancing alongside yosakoi teams from around the world makes this a truly special event for us. As a small team from Lethbridge, the energy of this festival — where we can connect with more experienced teams — is irreplaceable!
